also, tried the elephant boots on. DAMN. heavy stuff. I had to get help from the SA to get in and out of them, and he pushed them down with both hands to show how the slouch could be achieved. i would've loved a shaft that heavy to the wedges.

You mean this season? Much stiffer leather than the SS ones, mine are too attracted to gravity. But heavy, yes. You get used to it.
