Faust is right on this. you say you are heading to a meeting in this outfit... I struggle to think that if this was a business meeting, what they would perceive in someone who shows up in combat boots and unfinished trousers beneath what appears to be a jacket that you can barely button. I hope it was a creative meeting amongst friends, as silhouette awkwardness can, in the wrong company, expose a lack of being detail oriented and faulty decision making.

Farkhanyassin I have to agree that the slight difference in grays detracts from your outfit and combat boots don't work with this suit. Your blazer seems a bit too snug on your frame by the way it pulls on your arms.

I like Mail moth's look as I have a soft spot for Van Noten as well.

And to answer some things,
I've just gotten the pants yesterday so I have yet to hem them up and I will definitely do that right away.

Next, the meeting I went to is for an event that the family company will be planning for very soon. Very creative minds there, I didn't want to look too formal, but not to casual at the same time.

And yes, I will get to buying some dress shoes

lolwut? i'm with you on that jacket's strong points, but although carol prototyped the cut sometime in the late 90's, he did not exactly invent the concept of the fencing jacket. furthermore, he didn't really do much with the idea until 2007. not much in common with the cloak fencing jacket, which was a cotton piece done in 03 for f/w 04, or numerous iterations by julius, going back to 03-05 as well. your comment made it seem as though the whole of the world exists by virtue of taking from carol's ideas alone. err...
