All this exchange (peace everyone..) reminded me that I initially thought that having no bidding wars between members would have pretty much no impact because of the size of ebay's market but I now understand that the pool of specific bidders for say a size 2CDiem on ebay at a given time is so small that it's actually useful to call "dibs" on items. Yesterday I was wearing a Sacai cardigan that Buckwheat bought on Yoox but had to return because it was too small. It then showed up on ebay and was snatched by Coldrice, who didn't know about the sizing issue and had to get rid of it so sold it to me.
