To be honest, if you're looking to splurge on something at $2k, you could do something better than a poncho... especially if you already admit that you'll only wear it a couple of times at most.

At least 2-3 LUC pieces can be had at A for that price that you'll likely wear more you know?

People please don't ruin this for me.

It's true I could get several LUC pieces for the price of that one poncho, but those basic knits from LUC don't resonate with me. I think that poncho is unique and special. I have too many basics as it is.

That poncho is exactly what I need to take the fall to the next level - it's dramatic and over the top.

And Justine is right.. I'm glad I'm not in NJ. However, I still dislike sales tax.

btw, just have A ship it to your parents or something and have them ship it to you again if you hate sales tax that much. unless of course they live in NY.

a while back I picked up the black handspun tussah silk reversible cardigan supercheap ($200) on Pollyanna for my gf and the sweater in same fabric ($120) for myself. while the delicate weave is great, the silk itself is not that impressive. not soft, almost felt as thought it was a little starched. it does look great with some contrasted fabric underneath. no way that I'd buy it at retail.

Pollyanna's prices are downright reasonable compared to A's. The shirt for $569 - VAT is not bad.

there was a small one of these on ebay that ended yesterday or the day before... for way cheeps.

Seconded Faust, overseas buying has become the norm:) Pollyanna also marks items as low value to help you avoid customs too!
