they really do though! btw that short you're thinking of was the one we saw when we went to watch the killer (?).

i tried one of those macs on and it was perfect... i'm pretty sure the one i tried was a 'regular' 5 button which i think is a bit more proportionally balanced.

Lucky you. I've seen some folks pulling a whole TB look, and it was just exactly that, someone in a TB outfit. If you can make it yours, bravo.

Apparently he is doing some sort of collaboration with Moncler:

A bit boring in my opinion, looks like he just picked a few pieces from his last collection and stuffed them with down, nothing very interesting. I'm not exactly a huge TB fan though, guess this will appeal more to people that already like his stuff.

are we really surpised? i mean, season after season, TB looks like it's being designed from the same shrunken 50ies business-ware template he's started with. i'll give him credit for influencing today's menswear with the cropped pants and retro 50ies influences.. but how many cropped TB suits and shrunken 3 stripe cardigans are people going to buy? now that his signatures have gained wider appeal and acceptance they don't feel that special or subversive anymore. i'll admit i'll miss some of the theatrics of his shows but will not miss not being able to buy a 650 dollar cotton polo shirt..

love TB for only one reason - he inevitably gets an SZ-style discussion going.

agree. I hope this is not the beginning of more small/independent designers going under.

I heard rumors of this from someone in the NYC industry and was hoping it wasn't true, a month later, bang! Let's hope he pulls through, I want maybe another of his suits and like that he's out there anyway.

I sure hope this doesn't happen and someone steps up the plate to back his company.
