I was in the Paris store about two years ago and saw a custom order piece staff were discussing, but it looked to be fur / shearling - so I'm guessing the HunRick Owens line? I was buying trousers from the sale rack so I didn't think it was my place to press for info

I was told to contact Chrome Hearts cause it's they who were in charge of the collaboration line.

Had this crazy idea to remold my horse J2... Mostly I just want to stiffen the leather since it's too soft now (an irrelevant note: how soft is your J2? are they significantly softer than the J1 and J4 horse F235 leathers?)

My plan is just to soak the jacket in hot (50C) water and I'll wear it all soaked wet till it half dries (maybe for 3 hours?). I need to know bottom line: is this going to ruin the jacket? Thanks for your answers, anyone tried to wet mold a leather jacket?

i wouldnt recommend it if you've never done it before. first you got to make sure the leather is veg tanned, chromium tanned leathers dont do well with forming but maybe it'll be enough? i dont know someone else can confirm this.

also you dont wear it soaked with water, let it dry out a little overnight in a cold place.

Thanks for the advice! Yes it's veg tanned horse skin. Actually that's how Boris molds the jackets - by wearing the jacket right after dipping it into water.

I want to stiffen my jacket and also make it a little smaller. Just need to confirm the process won't irreversibly kill the leather material.

Vibram soles on the front and heel taps. A ton of advice in a shoe/cobbler thread in the shopping section.
