For dinner I highly recommend Nobelhart & Schmutzig. They call their approach to cooking "brutal regional", meaning they exclusively cook with ingredients from Berlin. No pepper, no lemons, no chilli etc.
I go there once a year and it’s an absolute delight.

Oh wow. Thanks. Thats looks good! Its on my to do list for next time. We'll have only time for 1 good dinner. The rest of the time, we're gonna be partying and recuperating.

Do you know a decent to good sushi place? We stay at the NH near the Volkspark Friedrichshain.

I’ve only been living here for a year, so I rely on tips from my co-worker, but I’ve been to the first one once and the food was good (the interior was very ambitious, to say the least).

    Dudu (hipster)
    Aki Tatsu (cheap, authentic)
    Sticks N Sushi (medium posh)
893 Ryōtei (pricey, looks good though)
    Sushi Club

I'm in Berlin for the month of July... Looking for a good hairdresser ó I'm female with short hair, if that matters. Also, if anyone has any recommendations or wants to say hello, let me know.

My salon of choice is "Toronto" – ask for Michelle. She’s a wonderful hairdresser with the aura of a thousand year old being from outer space. Also, it’s right next to Comme Des GarÁons, a nice wine store and across the street from Our Legacy.

    You’re welcome. :)

Small Berlin Rick Owens update – the only stores left to buy Rick are now
    • Hyperstation (Drkshdw)
    • Orimono (DRKSHDW + mainline shoes)
    • Apartment (Mainline + Drkshdw, black stuff only, mostly basics and classics) and
    • Andreas Murkudis (mainline only, small but good buy).

Orimono appears to have Drkshdw AW19/20 as well.

Just want to say thank you for this. I saw Michelle yesterday, and I loved her (and the haircut she gave me). She wanted to know who you were, though, so maybe PM me your name?

Is Apartment still open in the same "old" location? I've been there last summer, but I get the impression it was closed...
btw I will be back in Berlin in august: can't wait ;)

It’s still in the basement, but the ground floor is now a co-working space.
Therefore, the entrance has been moved around the corner. You have to ring a bell now, so the SA can fetch you at the door and walk you down the stairs, through the storage room and into the store.
The store itself hasn’t changed much. Maybe I can steal the Rick chair while the SA greets you at the door?

If anyone knows of anything cool going on from the 29th August to the 3rd of September it would be appreciated. I'm going out with bunch of other members of Avon Terror Corps as we're doing a takeover of Ohm for most of Saturday night as part of Berlin Atonal

I'm going to make it to Atonal one day, I swear.

Went last year and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Have been a frequent visitor to Unsound in Krakow and expected something similar. It is not. Both are fantastic experiences, but was not prepared for how MASSIVE Atonal was.

Sweet. I've been to Unsound Krakow a bunch of times and I'm going again this year. Probably my favourite festival.

Been interested in Atonal for a while but never made it. ATC being booked for it has pushed me into going for sure. We have Harrga, Bad Tracking and then a bunch of us DJIng until close at Ohm on the Saturday (probably be me, Robin from Giant Swan, Jackson Veil Panther, Miles of Bokeh Versions, Adam and Yokel B2B free for all silliness).

It being in Ohm too is rad as I have been there for my friends' Lazy Tapes nights and I absolutely loved it as a club then.

Darklands is moving again, wtf. I imagine this must be quite stressful/annoying for their employees.
