domas vision of man reduces his silhouette to that of a coathanger on which to impose a somewhat femine allure that many here adore

        Always a good question .

I suppose I dislike the same things I have in other collections - the overly feminine vibe (mind you, not that it's soft - i love soft - but feminine), the potato-sacky feeling (it's not the way yohji does volume - it always somehow sticks and makes the body look good) of the garments, some of the garments seem half-baked (on purpose, of course), like the lapelless jackets.

Having said that - when I was in Damir's store a few days ago - there were some very beautiful pieces, much more structured, that did not look like that on the runway at all. I will see what it looks like in the showroom.

Having said that 2 - I am still glad that Damir makes his clothing, has his vision and a voice - we need individual voices in fashion like air, and he brings that.

P.S. I do like the red though, both leathers, and the long white coat.

For some reason, this reminded me A LOT of Piero Tosi's cosume design on Pasolini's Medea

probably my favourite movie for costume design, and one of my favourite movies for everything basically
I strongly recoment you all check it out if you don't know it

Pieces looked far more wearable in the showroom, lots of nice material combination possibilities. nice cardi/jackets, Ts, i prefer my leathers more fitted though.

I have to say I was a bit dissapointed after seeing the full line up in person. far less wearable pieces than current s/s or upcoming f/w seasons - these both had some great jackets, coats, knit wear, trousers... whereas this s/s seems to be all about the balloony outerwear. of course some amazing t-shirts and basics (could live solely on these), but trousers were limited to either sweatpants/leggings and some oversized ones, no "regular" trousers. same for jackets, only one basic blazer and even that oversized, rest was the sack type.
