Earlier this year in the month of April, after 3 years of running our web store, we quietly opened a physical retail space in our studio called ZFACTORE 3D.
Our reason for opening this space was simple. To provide a location where our clients in New York and our visits to this wonderful city we call home could come and experience our work in person in a way that was not possible by visiting our web store.
Zfactorie 3D is a place like no other, it allows our clients to come to our studio, tour our production facilities, see how our products are made, have a glass of wine, talk fashion and philosophy, make a purchase of some of the most beautiful and well made artisanal clothing available in the world
Since we have opened, we have served dozens of clients and we encourage you to make a visit to our space and experience what we do
We have remodeled the space for the upcoming Fall Winter 2016 and while we transition into the creation of new garments, we are still selling our Spring Summer 2016 collection at highly discounted prices and also stocking items that are not available in any store or on our web but only at Zfactorie 3D
We are a team of now 11 highly skilled and in house trained artisans who design, create, color, finish and ship everything that bears the Zam Barrett and Category M names under one roof.
Zfactorie is one of the last true Artisanal design houses in the World and maybe the only one of its kind in New York.

I honestly don't remember any other artisans working in whole America, be it South or North, so it's much wider for me than NY. Collateral concepts might come to mind as well.
My point of view might be extremely limited but in terms of production America is famous for 2 factors for me: Zam Barrett and Horween.

Zam is most certainly holding it down in NYC. I'm more than happy to be considered as one lone wolf in the south!

thank you, but i am sure there are a ton of other artisans working in NY and the USA, my point in the post was to emphasis that there is almost no other artisan in NY catering to the men's Avant Garde market the way we do.
In a way we are very happy we have been able to and continue to do this and to offer the range of products we have been able to.

ZAM BARRETT // FALL 2016 PREVIEW

we would just like to take the time to give you a short preview of some of the items we are working in and about to release for the Fall 2016 Season.




Above:
Long sleeve 3DT made entirely from woven fabrics and not Knit. the Front of the shirt is 100% cotton, D\double gauze that is cut entirely on the bias. the sleeves and Body are 97% Linen and 3% Stretch. this was a really great experiment to cut one of out tees from woven fabric which allows it to function with the same comfort of a tee but the durability of a woman garment.
the top is shown here in White, but will also be available in grey and Black

Shown also is a double layer in 100% Wool, fully lined in 100% cotton shirting. the pants is a straight cut pants, that comes with two suspenders, made in cotton and leather. one Suspender is Solid black and the other is a grey/ white/ black plaid. this allows the wearer the versatility to choose to go subtle with the solid color suspenders or more graphic with the plaid.
the Selvedge Front Cropped Pants ispart of a two piece suit with a matching Selvedge Minimalist Blazer that is not shown in the picture but will be available to be make a suit.
The suit is available in both grey and black

Zero Patchwork Shirt. Made from 100% Superfine Japanese cotton, along with vintage cotton ans linen scraps sourced from Jamaica and France.
the Shirt is Paired with our Tailored Soft J Pants made in 100% Silk Tussah.
the shirt is will also be available in Black, and the pants will be available in a black version made in three variations of cotton and linen sourced from three different Countries of Japan, Jamaica and Belgium

It is paired with Classic Overclocked DNA Jeans in black also made with red heavy overclocked stitching. The Raglan top is also available in a solid black version and the DNA Jeans in Grey and also a black raw denim variation with grey overclock stitching

Aside from our traditional Black/ Grey/ White and Military Base color palette, there is also a focus on prints and earth tones this season.
Shown above is our Faulted Shoulder Side Placket Shirt in 60/ 40 Cotton linen along with white 3DT and a completely new offering in pants: the Displaced Seam Selvedge Jeans. shown here in raw denim there is also a black over dyed version, made in a denim that is 98% cotton and 2% elastin. the pants is a straight leg, slim Jeans that stacks slightly but with 2% stretch, allows for good range of motion and comfort when worn.


The first batch of items are now being prepared to be shipped to our stockist for the FW16 season and to be uploaded on Zfactorie.
the first batch of items is scheduled for release on 08 - 15 - 16.

there seems to be a very positive response to the prints over the last 2-3 seasons.
Nature prints are something I live and often used in the early stages of my work and somehow feeling for a return to them now.

we would just like to make a few announcements here that may be relevant to you. Please take the time to read below


FW16 Collection Release
1. We are pleased to announce that the first release of Fall 2016 items are up on Zfactorie and available for viewing and purchase.
All Pants that will be for sale for the FW16 season are now up on the site in both the Bottons and Category M sections
2. the first release of tops is also up. a second delivery of Tops and some outwear will be available for the first week of September with the final release of outwear along with accessories available at the end of the Month of September.


FASHION SHOW.
We are very pleased to announce that Zam Barrett Dialogue will be having its first fashion show in ten Years during New York Fashion week. The show will be held on September 15th at 4:30 pm. which is the same day that StyleZeitgeist is having its anniversary event.
(we will say more on this later)

The show will also feature accessories from Avant Garde Ukrainian accessories designer KOFTA, who is doing special accessories for the event.

Hello SZ'ers

Just a few updates for the upcoming New York Fashion week events.
it is official that we are showing our Spring Summer 2016 collection here in New York in September 15th.
We have worked with the good people here at SZ to coordinate the event on the same day and early enough to give members of the forum and guests traveling from overseas and out of state enough time to attend our show at 4:30 pm and refresh themselves for StyleZeitgeist's event later in the night

the Show will be done in Collaboration with Ukrainian Avant garde Accessories designer KOFTA who have developed some extremely intense and interesting ideas for the show.....


While our show is an industry event, geared towards press and buyers, we are extending an invitation to all SZ members. especially those who have been clients of the brand over the years. If you would like to attend, you MUST RSVP for the event in advance as the space is limited.
