yeh agree with lowrey size 4 is 40/41, 5 is 41/42, 6 is 42/43 etc

I have less experience with Av footwear than you, but here's what I've found (which ties in with your sizing scheme above) -

I just checked my size 4 ankle boots and the outsole measures 29cm - they fit a 40.5 - 41 perfectly.

I used to have another pair of ankle boots in size 5 and they measured 29.5cm - they fit more like 41.5 - 42.

An even longer time ago I used to have a pair of derbies in size 3 - if I remember right I think they measured about 28cm, and they fit like 39, or possibly 40 at a squeeze.

I really don't know about price adjustment: last year I've bought a pair of women shoes for my wife, ask for a refund (size was wrong) and they were quick&polite.
Maybe, you should try and let us know: I'm sincerly curious, since in Italy not many sellers know what a "price adjustment" is
