I think Galia's right. That Wim Delvoye pig-inking craziness goes back to the nineties. I've been told pigs are a good training for tatoo artists anyway, better than vegetables.

You don't have a problem with all the leather people wear here, do you? And so you're obviously not horrified by breeding and raising animals in captivity, branding them, and slaughtering them for their meat and hide. So why the righteous aversion toward the humor some of us find in the marking of their already captive animals? I just think it's silly that's all.
But as Interest1 said, we're on to bigger and better things - tattooed pigs!

I'm well aware of what satire is and of the specific attempt at it you made. I'm just so personally horrified by animals being tattooed that I think it's beyond any kind of levity.

i know u know what satire is. therefore, my reply post was what's called sarcasm. kind of like overstating the obvious in an attempt to highlight its absurdity. feigning interest or concern with an overly elaborate explanation for a joke as a means of mocking those that didn't get the joke in the first place, thereby killing the joke itself in the process, but giving birth to a new one...
