          E. M. Cioran - On the inconvenience of being born

"Death is the gift of providence to those who have had the taste and the talent for fiasco. Death is the reward for those who have not gotten anywhere, those who have not wanted to go anywhere… It is them who death gives the victory, for death is their triumph. But for the others, for those who have striven to succeed, for those who have succeeded, what a denial, what a slap in the face."

          (my translation)

George Orwell - Down and Out in Paris in London.

Mmm, Le Marais was certainly a different place in the 30s It's actually kind of neat to read that shortly after Tropic of Cancer.

An oldie but a goodie; George Orwell's 1984. It's amazing how relevant this novel remains.

Reading and re-reading all the Ishiguro that I can get my hands on. Truly becoming one of my favorites.

About 15 chapters in and I'm totally engrossed, it was probably a bad idea to start this during preparation for my senior show though

Maybe you will end up living in two worlds yourself, never a bad idea to start reading this book.
