doubt it, the wax gets absorbed into the fabric, so it should stick quite well. plus the wax is colourless, so even if it would bleed, you wouldn't notice."AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. well I've been sewing for as long as I can remember, mostly alterations and smaller things though, so I haven't made that many garments from scratch.
I definately wouldn't advice starting with a button up unless you have at least some experience, theres so many details and many hard parts. shirt fabrics also tend to be less stretchy, leaving less room for misalignment etc.
altering existing shirts would be much easier, body fitment is quite simple to modify."AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."

great job on the shirt!
i tried making and waxing a jacket, as well, simply by rubbing a candle on it and rubbing it in to the fabric, which gave it an aged leather feel. however i have never tried to heat the wax into the fabric. This is a really cool idea and the texture looks amazing.
I was wondering, how the shirt looks after several wears?? because i find that after a while the wax on my jacket fades and the 'shine' look, fades a way. does the technique, you use last???? because i would love to find something that stays for longer than a couple wears.
