I think it is extremely naive to think this did not happen intentionally. Even if he didn't at first set out to do this, it has gotten to the point where this is obviously the road he has chosen to take.
He has been logged into myspace, gmail and lookbook which means he is not in a place where he is unable to use a computer. If anyone is unable to get a paypal refund I suggest to who ever had prior successful dealings with him to give an address to those which were hurt financially by him.
He may have been the nicest person in the world to all of you, but as soon as he decided to take money from someone he turned into a complete asshole and diserves a lot more than being shunned by a couple internet fashion forums.

It's just crazy about Cas since I know a number of members on here actually have met up with him in person. I've talked to him at length in the past too both on and off of SZ.
How much money is in question? A total of $1000 or so? It's rough but something just doesn't add up.... if you're going to take someone for funds then you'd likely go all out.... plus people have his phone number and address no? AND he's in the US.... in a very reachable city...
Either way though, I hope those with money tied up are able to get it back. Losing money online is brutal. I've lost $3k to an asshole overseas before... ouch.

+1 on the bolded part...and i'm not REALLY crazy like I am online ;)
on a tangential note, i would not be surprised if often times the people who come across as most unassuming, quiet or friendly turn out to be exactly the people who would pull some scam or shady shit...
It's rather sad that as I am becoming a part of this community several people are receiving dishonorable discharges. Once work is more steady I want to participate in the classified section but it is getting scarier and scarier.
