I actually made two alternative headers during the redesign:
if I recall correctly Faust liked the current one best, now looking at it I personally prefer these two,
probably the last one most. the current one is a bit too clean, these have the right bling povera
style going on
any thoughts?"AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."

i'm also against augusta being featured. i like the comp of the bottom one...
does it have to be boots? what about a picture of a cityscape or nightscape, something that is about where you take the clothes---less about a shop that selling something. fits in with fausts credo more i thinkOne wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.

a city nightshot might look a bit too generic.."AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."

I think the second one is great A, love the texture of the wood and I like that the boots are cut off and a bit more ambiguous.
as p said, Augusta is something to think about, though.let us raise a toast to ancient cotton, rotten voile, gloomy silk, slick carf, decayed goat, inflamed ram, sooty nelton, stifling silk, lazy sheep, bone-dry broad & skinny baffalo.

I like the header just fine. Let's keep it.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

The site looks really gorgeous. A huge public thanks to Xadam and Mike Lowrey. I couldn't have done this without you.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Maybe it's my computer but the zeitgeist definition portion of the opening page looks crazy like the words have been layered over each other. Makes it hard to read and is a bit looking-at-something-meant-to-be-3d-but-I-lost-the-3d-glasses-y.
Other than that, I love the new intro. Forcing the person to have to click "discuss" to enter drives the point home :)

We need like a hundred punkt plan how this is
manifested into practicality! One thing is intellect
another thing is (re)action! Are you afraid of women, Doctor?
