i honestly think a lot of Opal Tapes is just okay
patricia is definitely in the higher end of opal tapes
but yeah
I agree a lot of Opal Tapes stuff is just OK ... But I really enjoy some of their stuff, Ketev, Violetpoison, D.A.R.F.D.H.S. Luminoskea, Holovr, etc ... a lot of the stuff that sort of borders on more ambient work.
The Siobhan LP was really good, but I have all the Siobhan tapes and have been following that project for a long time and the LP was leaps and bounds above the other material.

Seeing Oscar Mulero next week (:

Regarding clubs in Berlin I'd cosign about blank and add some dark horses worth checking out: Loftus Hall, Griessmühle and Rummels Bucht (in summer). Tresor can be good, booking is still excellent the crowd not so much. I would't go there on whim.
Incidentally the29nov films (who did the clip for the shifted track^) are there tomorrow. Recommended if you enjoy visuals.

i made a new track with an old friend of mine

we also used his samples of him hitting things, it fucking goes off
i'm really proud of this, this is probably my best work

Would you say the same of Berghain? The reason I ask is because when I was last in Berlin (about a year ago) some Berliners said the same of Berghain, that the crowd isn't as good as it used to be, that there's too many tourists in there.
The reason I ask is because I barely notice the crowd when I'm in a place like that. The music and energy just overwhelms everything else for me.
And the owner of Tresor now is trying to do something in Detroit, where I live, so I'm very interested in the goings on at Tresor these days...
