    .thejass. mix: "fear forges feedback"

here is a mix for my fellow SZ members to listen to:

denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance are themes of the fourth .thejass. mix: "fear forges feedback", an 80 minute set of 57 tracks forged to cure the fear of loss with heavy doses of sonic feedback, and prescribed to listeners deprived by death. The diagnosed audio side effects are fragmentary breaths of electric guitars, pupils enlarge from blackened soundscapes, the jaw is opened through distressed vocals, limbs become rigid in uncirculated noise, fingers curl into a doom metal claw, and finally, a static stare towards mysterious cinematic tones conclude the aftermath of loss.

fark, photography may be your commission, but your drawings are really good. if you decide to design clothing, your drawing skills will help a lot..

i've met a lot of fashion students and no one knows how to draw..

Endersgame im sorry but really i don't think you know what your talking about.
As far as fashion students any good schools; drawing is at the foundation of any work produced, it is an expected and required skill. It doesn't mean it is in everyones work process but to initially get onto a course you need to show good drawing skills in a portfolio. Many students apply with a portfolio full of collage and imagery but don't present enough true drawing and for this reason alone will not get in. Certainly this is the case with saint martins, and antwerp has a two day drawing examination before even getting interviewed for a place. And pretty much all course require you to do a general art and design foundation course; including life drawing, print, fabrics and you will be required to draw in sketchbooks, before studying fashion,
So to say that no one knows how to draw is bull shit, just once you get past a certain stage in a course you realise that illustration has really not that much with actual garments... sure it can help but there are other processes.

Fark il be honest your drawing leave me with no very much, i dont understand what is going on what lines mean what, you leave me to my interpretation of your design... which is really not clear enough. Its sitting in between trying to be illustration and trying to be clear.
                          .

i didn't mention this but i was singling out a place where a friend of mine was a fashion illustration instructor. i'm talking about the schools that don't have that type of rigorous selection process. the ones that will take anybody. although fashion illustration is part of their cirriculum, kids who are enrolled in these places don't take the drawing part seriously, or can't be taught at all..

i'm one of those people who took those intro drawing classes in art school. i couldn't draw for shit and knew that this was not the right path for me. some people won't accept this. some succeed, most don't from what i've seen..

i'm also not saying you need to know how to draw like michangelo to do well in fashion, but it helps. a lot...
