Just posted a three movement piece "For Clarinet and Piano" on myspace.com/planesandangles from a recent concert. A difficult piece in spots with some mistakes, but overall not a bad performance.

    • casem: have you hear of Nico Muhly? He's a friend of mine and he's from New York I think. I think you'd enjoy his stuff.

Yes, I quite like Nico! He basically has my dream life as a composer, if you really know him well we should talk...

Sorry for always spamming with my site, but I like to share when I have a new piece recorded, just uploaded to www.myspace.com/planesandangles the first movement to "Untitled #5" for Chamber ensemble. Also uploaded a brand new piece "Music for Violin and Piano", some of the playing is a bit rough, the performers where great but it's a very hard piece and was part of a reading session of several pieces where they only had about 20 min. to rehearse each piece (about as much time as a composer can expect to have spent on their piece these days unfortunately).

haha if that was a building, the architecture would have been mind blowing. Its actually a brick staircase a few metres below, I flattened out the image with a high aperture.

Here are some of the pieces I've made for both myself and friends recently. I enjoy modularity and wearability in my work. The ability to use one piece in a variety of ways is a motivating factor in my non-jewelry accessories, one which I hope to translate to clothing. I am currently interested in utilizing non-traditional materials to create pieces with interesting properties and textures.

The first piece is a simple raw-edged bamboo/cotton ribbed jersey scarf, called Kūshòu.

Next is a bracelet/necklace/whatever you style it as made of boiled hemp twine, called Noh.

Last is a scarf made of hemp cord, called Saarai.
