Hey, thanks a lot! It means a lot that people on here actually give it a listen. It's been concert season, so another new recording:
My recent compositional motto: Always Going Nowhere. A piece for Flute, Violin, Cello, Vibraphone, Rainstick. Played by the wonderful Cadillac Moon Ensemble at the Spring 2012 Rutgers Composers C

As part of a theoretical module (I study History of Art) I wrote a short paper that explores the relationship of dress with the body. Specifically what I tried to do was 1) illustrate the tangible role of the body in designing fashion and 2) most importantly to highlight an alternative way of understanding fashion beyond its symbolic and textual qualities, and instead focus on the ways it is embodied, felt and experienced. IIRC this was discussed briefly in the Recent purchases thread.
Normally I wouldn't find an assignment like this worth sharing, but I really enjoyed writing it and also got a very high mark; plus there's some Rick Owens thrown in there for good measure. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to read.
