Thanks for your support, but both The Road and Into the Jungle look different now, in their finally completed state, than they do on the jpegs posted here. A few notes -
- Both paintings looked too tidy as they are here. The Road has the same smear running across the horizontal band on top of the canvas, but it is now more tense, edgier, and there is a streak of white in the middle now in addition to the dark turquoise blue to give a better indication of clouds and more in line with the nervous energy throughout the rest of the piece.
- Into the Jungle now has a vertical block on the left side of the canvas where the paint is scraped down, leaving ghost-like traces of white-ish lines running down through patches of oil that remains. Kinda Richter-like actually, this was needed to give a better indication of the title as well as allusion to landscape, otherwise it could just have been a scene in water alone and didn't need this title, which was what came to my mind before I even started working on the image.
1972, I strongly recommend you start placing your writing in text form instead of images. The reason I say this is cos your stuff deserves to and should be searchable and most importantly citable. At least remove the photobucket links. Great stuff!
