Now living away from Seoul I haven't been able to keep up too well on new imports in the country but I after too long made a trip out to the one decent bottle shop on this island and was happy to find a lot of new stuff.

Not really a big fan of IPAs but this was pretty nice. Common for the New York members but a surprising find on the other side of the world.

Sixpoint receives pretty decent distribution outside of the USA, it's probably the most checked-in IIPA I have on Untappd (and not just strictly cans as we've been lucky to get kegs!)

my bar had a beer dinner last night featuring goose island. the featured beers were: bourbon county rare, regal rye, stout, barleywine, and lolita

i would imagine. a lot of people at the dinner were (to my surprise) compairing the pros and cons of checking their barleywine for spoilage vs keeping them unoppened and rolling the dice
to me this is strange since goose island is so open about getting them squared away.

I missed out on trying 2014 here, but I personally wouldn't roll the dice on the barleywine :| then again I'm mostly ambivalent about the style so won't go out of my way to get a bottle.

I'm not sure how much the imports are changing but it seems like every week a new microbrewery or craft beer pub is opening up. Most of them are pretty meh but I actually don't mind the Belgian wheat from Hand & Malt.
