speaking of travel.
we have plans for two trips and would love some input if anyone is familiar with either destination.
the first is in October to Bethlehem, NH to take in the cooler weather and some fall color. The Adair Inn.
the second is in January for the Cavallino Ferrari Car Show and some horse stuff too. We are staying at the Breakers and I doubt I will go to the car show so other than horses is there anything else that is a must? Food or Galleries?

not sure if this is too late but hiked Mt. Washington and Mt. Adams this Spring. The drive up to Mt. Washington is beautiful. Hiked up to Cotter Notch and spent a few days back packing on the Appalachian Trail. Wearing Harnden and Guidi. The way it's meant to be worn

I spent my adolescent years in Charlotte and would frequent Atlanta. We would go to little 5 points and thrift at cute little vintage shops. Haven't been back in years. Faust I was there last week and everyone I spoke to just said to see the aquarium and the coke museum (I saw neither). Restaurants I can recommend The Optimist, seafood place which I thought was excellent and with the best bar I came across there. I also went to Bones which is apparently the best or one of the best steakhouses there but it was kinda stiff and not overwhelming at all. Otherwise I heard great things of the restaurant Gunshow but couldn't get a table.

I'm not sure how far this is from where you are staying but the Portuguese Riding School is fascinating both for its historical significance and for the sheer beauty of the Lusitanos.
