I have an original AT&T contract with unlimited data. supposedly they monitor spikes in data usage but I don't intend to stream movies or use huge amount of data transfers while tethered so yeah, tethering is FREE
just hope it continues with the eventual release of iPhone 5. i'm pretty confident that it will

Agreed...the data plans for all the major carriers are quite high so you really have to watch your usage for surfing the net etc. Not all the carriers will charge you a tethering fee now but they always find new ways to get $$ out of you. Canada tried to introduce new players into the market place dominated by Bell, Telus, and Rogers but the uptake has been slow.

Does anyone know of a decent app that can track data usage? It needs to be granular enough to specify how much data a specific application is using.
I have something on my phone that is pulling a significant amount of data but cannot determine what it is.Originally posted by hausofblaqGrow up.
