^ I guess it is mostly a personal matter : for someone who spent his youth in a house where those ugly lamps were in every corner of every room, there's something almost liberating in the vision of this procession, up the stream, towards the dusk of the woods.
Plus, I have to confess that I'm not objective when it comes to the "lamplight in the twilight" thing. I've been obsessed with it since as far as I can remember.I can see a hat, I can see a cat,
I can see a man with a baseball bat.

I'd like it more without the lamps, but nature is so pretty that taking pictures of it is just cheating.
