    Cool and/or Useful Software

Since we have a few gurus here, I though I could start this thread with a question.

Is there a way to play FLAC files on iTunes on a Mac?

    there is - but it's a pain:

easier to just use cog for flac files:

Cog, an open source audio player for Mac OS X

hands-down best (in my opinion at least) is Play

been using it for about 6 months and it's never crashed (on a Mac mini from five years ago with 256MB of RAM)

stupid idiot edit: totally missed that you wanted to play the files in iTunes, oh well

Got an app that can convert FLAC, but play it on iTunes I'm not so shure about. Not lots of codecs out there for iTunes sadly

Not liking Play so far at all. You can't change the name of the song/artist in the application and you have to put everything in playlist first. Or am I missing something?

You do have to put everything in the playlist before you play it, yes, but you can edit information just like iTunes but the command is apple e instead of apple i

Aaah, thanks. I tried the good old double click, that did not work.

Google recently unveiled the NYC transit map tool. Works like google maps directions, only by using mass transit. Perfect for all you future visitors.

that's a good tool, Faust! here's another one:

The Internet of Things refers to the network of interconnected devices that communicate and share data. From smart homes and wearables to industrial IoT applications, this technology is transforming the way we collect, analyze, and utilize data.

In today's world where everything moves so fast, it is very important to be organized. This helps us not to forget about important tasks, not to miss deadlines, and to use our time effectively.

I use many different tools and techniques to stay organized. One of the most useful for me is task management software. I use the task list app. It allows me to create a to-do list, set priorities, track deadlines and much more.

Here are a few specific benefits I received from using the app:

I became more productive. The program helps me manage my time correctly. This allows me to spend more time on important tasks and less time on less important ones.
I became less stressed. The app helps me feel more in control. This allows me to reduce my stress levels and focus on my goals.

I advise you to try using it, I am sure that this application will become indispensable for you :)

When it comes to the best OCR recognition software, popular tools like Adobe Acrobat or ABBYY FineReader are great for less… proprietary use cases. But if you’re building a web portal for telehealth patients to scan in medical records or a mobile app for credit analysts to perform data extraction on financial documents, then those don’t really work. To whatever degree they were retrofitted to be integrable with custom applications, they’re standalone products first, and it shows.
