Just moved back to New York recently after doing 4 years in Yuma, Arizona with the Marine Corps. Definitely missing the price of just about everything while living 5 minutes from Mexico. Now I live 5 minutes from Manhattan on Roosevelt Island. Someone point me in the direction of some excellent Indian food in the area. I've had a 4 and a half year craving.

I've been thinking about a trip to NYC in November. This would be my first visit. I realize it is going to be cooler weather, bad idea for a first trip?

Suggestions on where to stay?

I'll be visiting Upper ES in NYC for a job interview this week Thursday morning until Saturday morning.

I'm hoping to check out the InAisce shop and a few more. What places would you guys suggest I go to find InAisce, Obscur, Julius, IS, N(N) or Soloist, or BBS stuff? I'd ideally love to find some great samples or even past season sales, but I know it's not necessarily the right time of year. Either way, I would love to check it all out.

Maybe I'll be there permanently in 2012.... I'll know soon.

In Aisce doesn't have a shop. You can find Julius and BBS at Atelier, In Aisce and The Soloist at IF. Not sure if anyone in NYC is carrying Obscur or IS.

I'll check out IF. BTW-I thought I saw some photos of an In Aisce shop somewhere on here, but I suppose that was just his studio?

Behaviour New York carries Obscur

according to their website there are two. One at 231 West 19th Street and another at 160 9th Avenue, first time hearing about it myself. I've wanted to see Obscur in person for awhile. Any clue which one carries the line?

edit: just called and Obscur is carried at the 9th ave location.
