I stopped by IF a couple times when I was in nyc this summer and it's a great place. Far preferable to atelier, although atelier has some brands that IF doesn't. The feel of atelier was really cold (I know it's purposeful), and the staff were jerks and not all that knowledgable if I remember. The only perk is to see some brands that you'd otherwise only see online.

IF felt like a place I wanted to stay and wander through for hours. Plus, the owner has his own line of belts that I thought were pretty cool. So check that out.

i'm no expert but i would imagine the "media/marketing/graphic design" field is very over-saturated in NYC

it feels that way, hopefully someone can offer an insider's opinion
I'm very good at my current job, but I'd probably need training to transition these skills to another company or work environment
sorry to bring this into the NY thread, lazy Sunday of reading over job descriptions and requirements has left me feeling confused (ugh, corporate speak) and too fluid/unfocused in my skill set

that said, any LES bar recommendations? housewarming party there friday so I'll be around

There are jobs in NY. If you're good, you'll find one. I was offered a position while I was still in school. Moved here at the end of May and life couldn't be better. My firm currently has about 40 openings (but they're all senior level and up so that wouldn't really help you.)

So who all is going to come to the Otomo Yoshihide + Christian Marclay performance on the 19th? Should be killer.
