When exactly is this? I hope it coincides with my trip...

      thanks!
There is Seven NY, which is kind of geared toward a younger crowd. They have some really interesting things from time to time, but too loud for my taste. Bergdorfs also might have some rick stuff....

Mmmm, Jeffrey, yum. The store you want to do a Fahrenheit 451 on. A boy can dream!

            Seven is now closed.

Bergdorfs had a better Rick buy than Barneys in my honest opinion, so it's worth checking out.

I would also check out evagentry in BK, it's a wonderful shop.

that's a bummer about seven. i always stopped by there and the staff, that 1 guy, was always very friendly. it was good seeing a few "off-beaten" pieces and they normally had better gareth pugh buys than barneys for what it's worth.
thanks for all of the suggestions.
              where is bergdorf?

Bergdorf is on 5th Ave and 58th.

Yea it is a bummer about Seven. Though they're still going to have an online presence, which is good.

                  Evagentry is women's only.

and Jeffrey is one of the worst stores in NYC..even though the Meatpacking district is really LA . I just thought you should have all the options, even if some of those options are downright pathetic.

Technically they have Rick, Ann and Damir. Although the buyers at Jeffrey's have this nack of buying the worst pieces from what could be an amazing collection. Somehow they find the things that are shiny or bedazzled or covered in tacky prints and quotes. It's quite amazing really.

^Haha I think it would be worth seeing for comedic purposes...sounds like quite a phenomenon

has anyone seen sleep no more?

i have some out-of-towners i need to entertain and was considering taking them, but i've never been to immersion theater where you wear an eyes wide shut hockey mask..

The acting is awful but the experience is well worth the price in my opinion. Also, good drinks and nice jazz at the end of it.

edit: My friend made a good point saying it seemed as though they hired dancers instead of actors. Every movement and word was exaggerated. There just wasn't any nuance or subtlety.
