Hope the power isn't down too long. On my way back it looks like a abandon ghost town where the power is out.
on the news today, they said it may take up to 4 days in manhattan for power to return

In the outer Boroughs it may be up to 10 days depending on where it is,

i really hope its not that long,

luckily for me here we only hate power outage from about 4 am to 12 noon today. I just hope there is power at the office tomorrow otherwise we cannot do any work,

its mind blowing sad to see that entire neighborhood burnt to the ground...i was thinking the other day how awful it must be to live in a place that is a war zone,...smoke and devastation

the scary part about all of this is that this is the new normal and winter is just around the corner.

heh, i don't recall godzilla in waterworld..

rider, pretty much allpo except the outer boroughs.

i walked around chelsea this morning and almost all the galleries that were street level between west side hw and 10th ave. flooded, basement up. someone gestured to me the water was waist high.
everyone had hazmat suits on with gloves and respirators dumping stuff out, probably laced with sewage..

MoMA held a consortium on Sunday for flood art conservation. i don't think the gallerists can make insurance claims on this massive scale, even if they have insurance..
