I would love to hear what hotels, apartments, food, art and music anyone who has been there would like to share.
thanks for any advice in advance...

Merged and renamed the existing thread. Rider, I have just the spot for you in Antwerp. But give me more details (via PM maybe?). Also, see my guide above.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde

Huge shoutout to the shopping guide. visited most of the places on it. Wanted to visit recollection but was rather far from where we stayed but I absolutely enjoyed my trip and definitely would be back
Would like to recommend Het Gebaar for food as well. Really amazing.

@Faust: On the Vrijdagmarkt, they recently opened a vintage mens clothing store: Vrijdagmarkt6. Only a facebookpage, but the largest selection of vintage menswear. Last time there was a crazy beautiful Comme coat. I see they have some Rick Owens instore.
I would also recommend going by Labels Inc, also vintage but smaller than Rosier. You might find some gems there.

Above Graanmarkt 13 you can rent The apartment
This is a bit further but still in the center. . It is in the Lange Sint Anna straat, a medieval alley in the center of Antwerp.
Near the station but also in the center is Boulevard Leopold, it's basically a mansion but renovated in SZstyle.
I am currently renovating an apartment in a Mansion, it will be available for rent in the winter normally. And it will be about half the price of the B&B's.

If anyone is heading to Ghent, this looks so interesting, http://www.visitgent.be/en/event-dep...ontext=tourist the castle itself (and its ghastly history) is worth a visit.
