I bought Skyrim today, but I need to wait 1:00AM GMT to install the game, Steam lock the game until the date.

I played a little bit today about 2 hours and... OMFG ! Just magic. The atmosphere is incredible, you are really immersed in a world. The graphics are just beautiful.

All this skyrim hype! Didn't even know about he game until a few minutes ago until I was told by someone (my sister mweh..) about Skyrim and how awesome its supposed to be. Tried to youtube it and found a 20 minute video of the beginning of the game - looks amazing!!

Also a question for you guys; as I've always been into PC games when playing (SCI, D2, Minecraft etc) I've been thinking about hooking up with my first console. Now the question is which ones are 'the best'? At this question I'm looking for pros and cons as I don't know much about consoles in general. Only the two obvious ones in my mind (PS2 and Xbox) are topic of discussion as I simply don't know any other consoles able to play games like Skyrim. Can you guys help me out on this one? Birthday coming up soon and one might get lucky in the gift department! ;-)

/\ Skyrim (atm) runs better on PS3, 360 version has more bugs (at least after HD installation), but patch will probably fix it soon.

If you want to play PS3 exclusives like "Uncharted 3" or "Gran Turismo" or need a Blu-ray system, go for PS3. Personally I do prefer the Xbox 360 by far, HD installation is better (and optional unlike a lot of forced installations on PS3), system and games updates are easier, controller is more ergonomic, online works better (imho) and the Xbox Achievement system is the mother of all PS3 trophies.

If you have any console playing buddies I would go for the system which is #1 among them though, since you can swap games, compete online, compare Achievements/Trohpies etc.

I got in about 10 hours of skyrim (woo hangover sunday) this weekend. Wow I can't believe how vast the world feels. I can't wait to explore it even further but so far the random dragon encounters have been really entertaining.

depends on what games you want. the 360 has tons of shooters, sports and racing (americans are obsessed with these) whereas the playstation 3 has way more adventure & rpg's. get the ps3.
