well, I don't even want to work in fashion. I figure it'd be an easy way to tide myself over for now if all it required was writing opinion pieces that aren't much different from posting on SZ. But if I have to go to parties and store openings and shit, forget it!

parties aren't so bad if you're drunk, right? I don't know if you drink, but you can always just go to laugh at people (silently to yourself...) - people are just people, right?

Was about to write a long personal reply about how I feel about my education right now, but I redacted it. Don´t know what to do, this stuff is so boring. I don´t know any education I could take to become what I want though, so I guess I´ll have to stick with it and try to not end up with a depressing job when I graduate.

fade to black, i'd base my decision on the overall quality and focusing of the blog - especially if it isn't well paid i'd only contribute to a publication for whose quality i can vouch for.
i have a hard time picturing you as an author for all those self-centered, shallow and trend-driven fashion blogs; but of course there are also the hidden gems, so you should choose carefully

the term 'fashion blog' kind of sounds derogatory. & 1) the seas of shoes lady has 'clout'?! I had always thought she simply had a wealthy parent & a 2) non-euclydian physiognomy. kinda like that guy in sunken R'lyeh...

based on my previous correspondence with the person I mentioned in OP i had a feeling it was more along the lines of trend driven rather than the kind of word-centric blog like faust used to run...ehh like merz said, 'fashion blog' somehow sounds derogatory to people on this side of the moon.
