My ex girlfriend consistantly succeeds in cockbloking me all the way from New York, thousands of kilometers away. That is some amazing shit. She should write a book - "How to minimize your ex's chance of getting laid". Sigh.

Thanks! The folks at Dr Martens HQ were kind enough to make them for me in a man's size when I visited their factory. Plus I got them months before they hit the shops as women's only, so they raised quite a few eyebrows"Lots of people who think they are into fashion are actually just into shopping"

Bullshit on the supposed equivalence between rednecks and college students. America has one of the best university systems in the world--a system that moreover encourages freethinking and ideological diversity and intellectual freedom. People who place no objective value in education and suggest there is no wisdom to be found there are those who are themselves uneducated or otherwise unsatisfied with their own education. If you weren't happy (are not happy) with your university experience, you should have transferred or changed majors.
TL;DR: education matters and makes people better human beings. Rednecks fucking suck. And "When the prince has gathered about him
"All the savants and artists, his riches will be fully employed."
Canto XIII, Ezra Pound

Very unusual op-ed: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/06/opinion/06longo.htmlHobo: We all dress up. We all put on our armour before we walk out the door, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re trying to be someone else.
