Yes our mayor is a major embarrassment, but he doesn't think of those things and believes it shouldn't matter how people see him in Canada or outside.
He believes that if he keeps telling people he is saving them money (he is not - he is just creative in how he comes up with his savings), he (and his brother Doug) can do what he wants, when he wants, how he wants.
Oh yeah, outright lying is also allowed because he now says he was either drunk or on some substance when he said a few things like there was no video of him in a crack house. This also gives him (or his brother) license to publicly attack or bully those who disagree with him.
Well, he's certainly breaking stereotypes, because he looks like an American redneck of the worst sort. And when I say "looks," I mean in all senses of the word.
Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
Well he is positioned as the "everyday, ordinary man who like us all can make mistakes" as opposed to the Bay Street types with their fancy suits & ties. So now that the lies are mounting up against him, he plays the card that he just needs help.

If you can't see the work past the fucking taped seams , cold dye wash or raw hems - perhaps you shouldn't really be looking at all.
Fuck, got drunk with my sister and now she's left. I'm seldom drunk on my own, it feels somewhat tragic - posting this on an Internet forum doesn't make it better I guess.
“Too many people confuse being serious with being solemn.”
john cleese, before this video i'd always said i didn't differentiate between seriousness and humour, since some of the greatest profundities in life are comic, and some of the most insipid things are "serious" (politics, much of organized religion, and just dogma or sanctimony in general)... but, this little speech gave me a much better way of phrasing that contention.

And here's a familiar face actualizing that contention.
China is fascinating, and visiting it is bound to leave you with some amazing impressions. Sometimes, however, the English-speaking guests might have some difficulties finding their way around the country. Due to poor English knowledge and clumsy translation, signs that are supposed to help you out, only end up causing outbursts of unstoppable laughter!
