Re: What are you listening to?

snap. i wish i saw swing kids, antioch arrow, the vss, clikitat, but i was a bit young to have seen those bands.

tonight boris and crew are playing in boston. i used to live in boston. i wonder if we ran into each other ever.

i'm going to surmise that since you're an old hardcore kid that you currently post on bco as well. haha.

Re: What are you listening to?

The best show I almost went to was Indian Summer in 95 or so. Drove four or five hours to some hole in the wall in Connecticut only to find
a flyer in the window announcing that the show was canceled. I always liked the West Coast hardcore scene more than the East Coast; sad that I was stuck on the wrong side of the country. I guess I was lucky to live walking distance to a popular venue frequented by Lifetime, Resurrection,
and others, but yeah, I would have given all that up to see a Gravity band just once (maybe).

I saw les georges leningrad ~3 years ago at the first unitarian church in philly. even though I'm not that into their recorded music, it was a great live show.

there was a show in boston once a few years ago with devendra banhart and joanna newsom in inman sq at a book store or it was the zeitgeist gallery. some no-name band called arcade fire showed up and wanted to play, so the promoter let them play first. too bad i wasn't at the show.

my buddy went to one of the at the gates shows and said that at the gates and municpal waste were rage'n

                        Time by Billy Porter
What is time? Is it the Autumn leaves that change,Or the snow that floats from the sky? What is time, is it the air we breathe,Or the wings that teach a newborn bird to fly?Who can tell, I don't know, will we change, will we grow? What is time, is it eternity in Heaven,Or just a hope for peace on Earth?Where's the time, gone in the blink of an eye. But with every blink, a birth. We live, we learn, we love, in time.We give, we yearn, we grow, in time.Time for change, it's time to care, it's not too late, don't despair.Reach inside your heart to find the joy, The love to share with all mankind, for we know...All we have is time.
