What are you listening to?

I'm currently listening to Iron and Wine "The Shepherd's Dog." Nothing makes me feel as calm and at peace and nostalgic. It was my go-to album for half-asleep subway rides into Manhattan for early classes at NYU last year. :-(

i've always preferred wolves' recorded material to ampere and orchid, orchid felt too jagged and unstructured, like some bad ann d piece, but admittedly, i've only seen ampere live.

does anyone have the breakwater songs in electronic format? i can only find four of twelve (?) they recorded. i would be very grateful.

i feel like wolves could have been good. but i think all the songs sound the same. i loved orchid because they didnt do that.
i saw ampere at Koos and the drummer had gotten in a car accident that day and was super injured. dude still played though. that was crazy.

given that i've never seen suicide live, i can't really comment on that. what i'd really like to know is, if anyone here caught that teenage jesus/thurston moore thing at the knitting factory. have to wonder how the 'almost 30 years later' teenage jesus worked out live.

i wouldn't have been caught dead at this event but my friends who attended said they got their money's worth. apparently lydia lunch was really snotty/punk rawk to the audience. no wave is a footnote in music history.
