f'ing depressing news. absolutely shattered. the rock 'n' roll reaper's relentless this 2009. ron asheton and lux within the space of a month.

over the years, i think i've watched the live @ napa state mental hospital vhs about a quadzillion times voluntarily... and involuntarily. living in this town, there are a few bands that, for better or for worse, get jammed into your musical psyche on a regular basis - stooges, cramps, birthday party, the fall, to name a few. haha. not bad for vocational brainwashing.

trivia: lux and ivy are huge heino fans :) and i've always found them exemplary for the fact that they have an absurdly archival-sized record collection of endangered marginalia to rival the best out there including t.moore's and b.coley's put together.

also, a giant and pioneer in his own right - max neuhaus, r.i.p.

                for old time's sake,

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Did you catch him on his recent tour? I'm still not sure what I think of the synthesized drums instead of live drumming.
