yeah. check out my last post just above. i was just talking about echospace/deepchord.

and yeah, i have that fluxion record...it's one of my absolute favorites from chain reaction. i'd be glad to get it to you. pm me.

other names? basic channel/chain reaction was pretty much it for that sound - and that genre was definitely a late 90's thing. echospace is a throwback, for sure.

but you can also check out stefan betke aka pole - who was the first in that scene to go full on dub. he used to work at dub plates and masters, which is the record mastering plant run by the chain reaction dudes. he used to cut all their records...

those early gas records were definitely in the same vein, as were the early vladislav delay stuff - so much so that he eventually put out a few records on chain reaction.

as far as current projects - the sight below definitely works the whole chain reaction/gas sound.

Hey hamlet... If it's not too much trouble I'd be interested in snagging Vibrant Forms II myself. Only got numero uno at the momento...

As for some other names to look for, aside from the players mentioned directly above, I'd look for CV313 (echospace/deepchord related), some Redshape and Quantec have some good stuff (not all of it, imo, but some), one of my personal faves is BVDUB... also, if you haven't checked Rhythm & Sound that's a must-do...

There is an awful lot of middling stuff to weed through in the contemporary scene and I usually just go back to the Deepchord related stuff but there's still stuff gettin' made that tickles my fancy for sure... I'm sure I can think of more but I'm still pretty sleep-encrusted at the moment...

Oh, I HIGHLY recommend the Starlight remixes done by the Deepchord crew. They're all great, but there's one (I can't remember which) that just totally gets me horizontal every time.
I think they're easily the number one punk item.

                    Jævel Av En Tango

Lengst inne på Dieter Meyer satt Clementine
                    Ingenting fungerte som restitusjon
                    og aller minst medisin
For det fins ingen kur mot kjærlighetssorg
spesielt ikkje etter det han gjorde
Så Clementine tok på seg kjole
                    og parfymen Mango
                    og spilte banjo

Og hun sang skatt, kor er du i natt
Kom inn i min drøm min skatt
                    Eg har min dansekjole på
                    Min hals dufter Mango
Om du hadde vært min mann nå
                    sko me danst, danst, danst
                    en jævel av en tango

Men for Señor Flamingo var situasjonen
                    en såkalt vinn-vinn situasjon
Enten blei Clementine hans fru og hans alt

                        Patti Smith... Cartwheels

Come my one, look at the world Bird beast butterfly
Girls sing notes of heaven Birds lift them up to the sky

Spring is departing Spring is departing

Her thoughts are darting like a rabbit Like a rabbit ‘cross the moon
Shines of light over your hair As boys croon

Pretty in pink It makes me wonder
What could ever bring you down I see tears falling
                        From those eyes of brown

Hearing a voice, you turn your head You vanish into the mist
                        Of your thoughts And I
Want to grasp What brings you down
Open up those eyes of brown

The world is changing Your heart is growing

Hearing a voice you turn your head Girls turn by ones, by twos
Notes pour bad and tender Eradicate your blues

The good world The good world
Come my one, look around you Bird, beast, butterfly
Girls sing notes from heaven Birds lift them up to the sky

I see brown eyes That see girls turning
                        Girls turning Cartwheels

The good world The good whirl
The good world The good whirl

Come my one, look at your world Don't let it bring you down
Come on open for me Those eyes of brown

after few months i am finally convinced
by the new grace jones album, somehow it's
good that i need so much time to see how good it is,
i didn't like the way it's produced at the begging
but actually i think it's just how it should be...
totally timeless and beautiful piece of music.
