Confield is great too... so in Incunabula. I didn't see the whole show when I saw them, I was kinda sick and had stupid solfege exams (that I failed anyway) the next morning... I stayed for the free food, the few first songs and then left. I regret doing that so much.

Silvio Rodríguez. Having only been properly introduced to his music last month, I think my ears are now demanding compensation for a lifetime spent Silvio-less, because for the moment they seem to want to listen to very little else. I'm even contemplating learning Spanish, just so I can understand what the hell he's saying. [:S]

Xiu Xiu - La Foret <DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>One of my favorite albums to come out in the past year (two?). Not as emotionally intense as A Promise or Fabulous Muscles, in my opinion, but just as textured. I just love this mans lyrics. Alternateling-ly touching and gut wrenching, if not both. You rarely hear music this introspective. </DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV>

[/quote]He's a Cuban singer-songwriter who started out back in the 60s. Renown for his poetic and politically charged lyrics - hence my sudden interest in learning Spanish. (It's hard to sing along phoneticallly without feeling like a complete asshole. [:$])</p>
