Yeah, I don't know how well it holds up though, to be honest. Maybe I need to give it more time. UOA on the other hand, is still the best post-hardcore band for my money. But we've had this conversation before...
Still high on Salvation - clip doesn't really do justice for how fucking chaotic the show was. No one's posted Cult RItual clips, but those dudes were pretty scary for a bunch of scrawny heshers...
Originally posted by merzword. kind of funny actually, been on a kick of that stuff since running into someone i used to know a couple days back, fellow visiting from ny, used to be anthony's flatmate.. dawned on me that pretty much all of my friends here were kind of acquainted with those people.
yeah, so in that spirit,
np: love life - be kind to me/hex it out
and continuing with the weirdly-etched vinyl,
three mile pilot - circumcised ep.

Its a collaborative effort. Danger Mouse (of THE GREY ALBUM/GNARLS BARKLEY fame) and Sparkle Horse (mostly known for od'ing while on tour with radiohead!). Produced the music for the album and had varying artists from Iggy Pop, Gruff Rhys,Julius Casablancas .... to write a song for each piece of music.
Also David Lynch features on one of the tracks.
A book of images by David Lynch, which play as visual narratives for the songs was released. Due to some legal issues the album was not released...yet. And so the book was released with a blank CD-R so people can then download the album and burn it from varying torrent sites.
Read an interview on all 3 parties involved in this months issue of dazed and confused magazine. Very interesting how the whole project came together, and the album is fanatstic imo,and worth a listen.
here is an interview with danger mouse and david lynch

Thank you for the info, definitely have to
check it out. Always enjoyed Sparklehorse,
Lynch is known to join in, he is on some
of the soundtracks Badalamenti did for his films.
Are you afraid of women, Doctor?

Not quite sure how I feel about the most recent one, but I'm really happy just to be reminded of how awesome and varied his back catalog is.

It's called "Aleph at Hallucinatory Mountain" and boasts an impressive array of collaborators including pornstar-cum-indie fixture Sasha Grey.
Tibet's his usual freakish self but the instrumentation strikes me as a little more "rock" then past Current outings. I'd have to listen to it again for a comprehensive review
