Kashiwa Daisuke - Write Once, Run Melos
from Program Music I
probably the best album (2 really long songs) I've heard. it really gives me the chillsss
Kashiwa is amazing. Program Music I is such an unbelievable, beautiful album, original and incredibly ambitious.
On a grey day, like this day, I feel it's perfect for some forgotten Los Angeles masterpiece sunshine pop from the 60s. Millennium with their album Begin, released in '68. Recommended for those who share an interest in Beach Boys, Margo Guryan and Free Design etc.
The weather is getting worse, so last couple of days:
Weedeater - god luck and good speed
Velvet Cacoon - p aa opal poere pr.3
Sunn 0))) and Boris - altar
OM - god is good
Nadja - when I see the sun always shines on tv
^scott, yes, heard the xx too this week. Catchy and very likeable. Haven't listened to the full album yet, but will certainly do it before the end of this week. I'm not all about death/drone/sludge etcetera, haha
Bone Awl/Ancestors/Grinning Death's Head/Ride at Dawn/Horrid Cross/Cirrhus
Got a mix coming for you kids - my pal and I were commissioned by Type to do a Roadside Picnic for them, and we're going all usbm crust/hc influenced black metal.
Not related - but I'm still high on that Fever Ray show at webster hall from last week.
