What is a girl to do if she still on it?
And she been there before with you, and now she don't want it
It's been time and time again, I just wish this thing would end, tell me:
What is a girl to do if she still on it?

Caught between my ears and won't get out.Hi. I like your necklace. - It's actually a rape whistle, but the whistle part fell off.

While likely not sla(y)king yr thirst for this board to return to it's more brutal periods (I'm sure others [yrself included] can do a better job than I in drenching it with barely-there subpockets of hissy fury, etc.)... been truly digging on the following of late...
Bill Orcutt - A New Way to Pay Old Debts (ex-Harry Pussy thing bends his strangs in strange new ways; music lovers rejoice whilst fretboards cower)
Kan Mikami - Nishiogi No Tsuki (The trajectory of how Kan's voice improves w/ age is such that in a few more decades he'll have achieved Preacher-like Word of God status. When that happens, I'm gonna have to stay on his good side, 'cause he's started including English translations of his lyrics in the liners)
Susan Alcorn - And I Await the Resurrection of the Pedal Steel Guitar (Not super new, but I finally snagged a copy of this and am glad I did. Where Orcutt spends his time splintering headstocks (with his EYES!), Ms. Alcorn has figured out how to massage her pedal steel to the extent that it granted a direct portal to/from alternate, supremely hazy dimensions. Only problem is you gotta keep spinning the record or it's limbo all around)
And been leaning heavily on the Detroit electro/techno continuum... digging back into some Drexciya (Neptune's Lair) up to gathering a bunch of Omar-S stuff. The Echospace camp is still holding strong w/ the latest Intrusion (Lo-Fi Soundsystem) and cv313 (Sailingstars) 12"s. Been thinking about all the "drum machines have no soul" stickers I would see around, which I always hated but for some reason they're really haunting me as some indicator of supreme closed minded rockist-ness now. Might be the history/racial connections that so much Detroit techno holds... like the racial/homophobic implications of "disco sucks"-ism as well... fuck it, maybe there's just a lot of people scared of rhythm out there, I dunno.
Just a taste of my recent dips... man I love my fucking earholes...I think they're easily the number one punk item.

That Uzi record is phenomenal - not many people know about it, but definitely Thalia Zedek's most interesting project, IMHO. Could never quite get into Live Skull or Come...

No 'robed-up pseudo-metal' today...
Also on repeat;
Uzi - Sleep Asylum
Skullflower - Birthdeath EP
