when i was 12 i listened to bell biv devoe. outgrew that one.

Well i am not too young to listen to funk or jazz music. I don't know if age has a lot to do with musical taste (except if you're like 60+ )

I do not think in age categories when it comes to music taste. The categories Rock, Pop, Indie, Hip Hop, Metal etc. do not work in their supposed meanings anymore. The only difference you can make is good or bad, besides the usual one "quite good, but not for me", for example XX.

I do not blame anybody if I say I don't like the music you like. I respect these people by telling them what I really think. I would feel like a hypocrite if I wouldn't.

I totally agree with you concerning music. I tend to do the same. I respect their taste by telling them i personally don't like it, but i never say it's bad, or uncool.

Anyone recommed some music to me? Making me a sort-of punk, rock album - the likes of The Birthday Party, HTRK, Bailterspace, The Gordons, Swans, Hair and Skin Trading Company, etc. Bands like that. I'm running out of ideas.

Also, after doing some reading here, I wonder too-
Is XX cool or uncool? I feel a littly guilty listening to them for some reason. (I will admit I only listen to one track, but still)

Do you know Turn Pale? Could satisfy you if look for some dark post-punk.

I can also recommend Bright Channel and OM for the directions of the other bands you mentioned.

Speaking of Drag City (OM)...found out about the band DEATH that I slept on for a while. Pretty Good stuff.
