[quote user="deuxmille"]seems like no one listens to music on the weekends ;)<div><br class="khtml-block-placeholder"></div><div>Keith Jarrett - Standars Vol.1</div><div><br class="khtml-block-placeholder"></div>

I love this. Keith is playing a few Ballads for me at the moment.
When you're feeling fragile, do any of you ever have the feeling that none of your records sound quite comfortable enough? Sandanista! by The Clash is my new comfort record. It's been oozing out of my speakers all weekend.

I always hated the idea of The Clash. So ugly and male, music for boys to punch their fists to. But I finally managed to listen to this 36-track scraggly mess carefully enough to tame the beast and now I love it. It recreates pretty accurately the sound of sitting in a car in traffic in London in 1980 with the windows down and every car around you tuned to a different pirate radio station. Gentle cacophany.

I can almost feel my bum sticking to the sun-heated vinyl covers on the back seat of my Mum's Ford Cortina.</p>
Oh, and my son gets very excited listening to me sing the bassline to Magnificent Seven.</p>
But they still look like dicks on the front cover:

I've been listening to Do Make Say Think non-stop ever since they came to UConn Friday night. If anyone is into post-rock instrumental music, this isa good band to listen to. I hadn't heard of them before the show, but I was just wow'd. The music doesn't translate as well on CD as it did live, but it's still a great listen.
