I've been playing too much Guitar Hero lately so I needed something with good guitar this morning.

Boris - Heavy Rocks

I've listened to parts 5-10 and am listening to part 11 as I type of Music in Twelve Parts. I think I'm at my breaking point, I can't imagine going to a concert of the entire piece. Other Philip Glass I've been listening to is his string quartet #5 which is quite beautiful and easy to listen to. I'm doing a paper on minimalism's influence on pop music, anyone want to help with some bands that have been influenced by minimalism? (I'm already well aware of Eno, Bowie and the Talking Heads). I'm looking for more current bands.

So much good music coming out, I've been enjoying Blonde Redhead's new album and the new Bright Eyes (tho he's annoying at times) and I'm shaking in anticipation of Bjork's new one.
