It got old really, really fast thanks to the internet and over-saturation, but that isn't to say I don't like certain artists that are somewhat affiliated with the genre, or whatever you wanna call it. I think I remember linking you to Salem back in Dec or Jan or something, Q.
Essentially Salem started making vaguely gothic, dirty south-inspired, sort of experimental tunes. They've been doing this for a while now, and have a pretty large back catalog (which is for the most part completely unavailable, how they want it). A few other bands, lets call them the first wave, started making music similar to this in 08 and 09 as far as I remember. There's some more to tell, but that's the general idea.How do you guys like the fit of my new CCP suit?Comment

im glad some people decided to set beats lifted from some "southern booty" sample pack to some cheesed out minor synths.

Hip-Hop eh? Man, haven't listened to that in yeeearrrs. Can't believe people still listen to screw (but then again I grew up in Houston so heard it alllll my life).....nice picks todestrieb, that digable planets album is probably my favorite hip-hop album of all-time, but i like the raw picks better!
