I'm a big fan of the first couples of records (Esp. The cat & the cobra, 3/5 and Go forth). They were really good noisy-rock albums.
This one is definitely pop-rock, and even though it's quite good, it saddens me a little...

All LSF albums are very good, every second album is a great one. I like the new one more than the last, reminds me more of Go Forth which is still their best and most consistent (Inches compilation not counted) in my opinion. I can see what you mean, but as I have alway enjoyed their mellower songs too I'm really happy with this one.

Can't get enough of reverbed guitars.

Don't get me wrong, i love their last records, it's great that they're evolving in their music, i just find them less adventurous.

                    edit: party on!

...I mean the ephemeral, the fugitive, the contingent, the half of art whose other half is the eternal and the immutable.
