The new Spoon LP, "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga." So far, mixed feelings.</p>

On the plus side, a track from the new mum album has leaked, and it's not horrible.

it was good, although my friend thought it was a bit boring. i had seen him before in nyc where he played collaboratively with thurston moore, where he primarily played air synths. </p>

the show that i saw last night, he played the 'soundtrack' to a movie called JO. basically silent video pieces of things such as a Joan of Arc ceremony in France, and a Nathan's hot dog eating contest played backwards. haino had 4 amps set up, and his set consisted of vocals/screams looped and delayed, which he layered and played guitar over, mellow guitar playing and singing, and a wall of noise. it didn't really go well with the movie, but it was very cool nonetheless. you should definitely see him. i think he's playing no fun fest in nyc this weekend with merzbow.
