    saw punk dandy vic godard and the subway sect playing live in front of a +/- 30 audience on friday. great show though. had to re-listen some of the stuff. this one is great:

              I had not heard of Pascal Dusapin but I found some of his piano etudes on youtube and they sound quite nice. The harmony of many of these reminds me of that brief freely atonal time before serialism took hold beginning with Scriabin and into Schoenberg's early stuff. So much better than what came after.

              This one is quite amazing:

              Reminds me of Ligeti's fractured funk he learned from African polyrhythm, but still quite distinct from Ligeti.

              I haven't been able to find any clips from his opera on the internets but I'll see if I can find some at the library, he sounds like an interesting composer and apparently well known in France? (according to wikipedia)

              There's nothing wrong with personal taste, there's no explaining a lot of the music I like

                              Just got the "5 Years of Hyperdub" set and this has gotten itself on loop again.



                              The new Zach Hill album has a couple of songs on it that are pretty fucking great (can't stop listening to The Primitives Talk. KIngdom EP That Mystic.
