Curled up to watch La Vie En Rose for what must be the millionth time today. I don't even speak French, but I know the words to nearly every Edith song by heart (well a poor English-speaking-man's transliteration!). There is something so powerful yet fragile about the performances she gave later on in her life.

My best friend is a huge Edith fan. I sometimes work in his studio and he plays her more than anything else. Her work is so compelling and beautiful.

I love every single thing about that video you posted. The extreme color contrast is haunting.

sad news. can't say i'm much of a fan. i guess he's too much of a "romantic brood" (for want of a better expression) for my liking. but on occasions i do like his chamber pieces, like the trombone concerto below, and choral works.

Yeah 'where were you in 92' was really good album in terms of dubstep or whatever. Listened to some tracks from it last week. Haven't heard much of Zomby lately, though.
